Install, maintain and calibrate controllers and control end devices in plant, compressor station and pipeline facilities.
Install, troubleshoot and repair electronic and pneumatic control systems as well as power transmission and motor control electrical systems.
Use all types of test and calibration equipment, volt meters, amp meters, pressure calibrators, dead weight testers, etc. to test and calibrate control systems.
Supervise crews on installations and repairs for safety (NEC).
Maintain a supply of parts.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
Ability to work safely and adhere to all federal, state and company policies and procedures governing safe work practices.
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Ability to meet requirements of State and Federal regulations governing vehicle operations.
Possess an understanding commensurate with five years experience in installing, maintaining and repairing electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and controls.
Effective written & verbal communication skills.
Basic Computer and Microsoft Office skills.
Proficient knowledge in the use of all types of test and calibration equipment, volt meters, amp meters, pressure calibrators, deadweight testers, etc.
Willingness to meet operator qualification (OQ) requirements for regulatory pipeline.
Willingness to enhance knowledge through training and education.
Willingness to obtain State issued electrical license.

Seven years experience installing, maintaining and repairing electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and controls.
Formal training and education specific to instrumentation and electrical systems.
Proficient in PLC installation, programming and troubleshooting.
Special Characteristics/Job Requirements:
Natural Gas Plant work is subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas lines, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions. The job will require some travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training. The job also may require shift work, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks. Employees are required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location. Position is subject to applicable U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol regulations.
Natural gas gathering and processing is an “around the clock” operation and incumbents are required to be reasonably available to respond to emergency and other operational needs whenever they occur. The job will require some travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training. Employees are required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location. Incumbent will be required to learn duties associated with one or more specific areas of the operation depending on the operational need and the employee’s demonstrated abilities.
NOTE: This position is for our NEW Plant in OLA, TX opening 2013.
Once hired - this position will work at one or more of our current Plants for training purposes until the Red Bluff plant is on-line and operational. When the NEW Plant opens this position will then report to the Red Bluff Plant ONLY!
