IT Director

About the job:
The IT Director is responsible for Aronson Security Group's Information Technology, systems and data security, and architecture. This position leads the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, support and daily operations of the company's infrastructure, help desk, and security initiatives, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations.

DUTIES

Major Responsibilities Include:
  • Manages a team of Technology Team Members, vendors and outside consultants, including staff performance.
  • Collaborates with software developers to manage concurrent software development/implementation and technical assessment projects; managing scope, schedule, issues/risks, trade-offs, communications and expectations.
  • Accountable for all or multiple deliverables associated with a project.
  • Develops recommendations and supervises the selection, implementation and support of data, voice transmission, and processing technology, including networks, computer hardware, systems software telephony, internet access, and office technology.
  • Determines the applicability of current regulations and best practices; develops, implements and enforces Technology security policies and procedures.
  • Directs and, as necessary, performs day-to-day operations and administration of technical infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switches, routers, remote access devices and other technologies as required.
  • Develops technology project processes and documentation to ensure organization resilience and recovery.
  • Develops IT operations and performance metrics.
  • Leads first, second and third-tier support of systems and applications including deployment, operations, administration, maintenance and enhancements.
  • Identifies and procures products, services and technology to support technology operation.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business or computer-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of ten years progressively responsible, related experience with data and voice communications technology and desktop hardware and software implementation and support.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with proven ability to keep track of, prioritize, and report status of multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience managing IT technicians, engineers, vendors and consultants, including staff appraisals and performance management, and vendor RFP preparation.
  • Able to assess and measure project ROI and risk, and use that to guide the IT Steering Committee and executive team in prioritizing initiatives.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to ASG's internal team members.
  • Highly professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate strategic plans into technology roadmap, and communicate at the executive level.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with multiple operating systems and servers, including Windows and Linux, SQL Server, IIS, SharePoint and Exchange.
  • Experience with cloud-based services and technologies and integration into corporate architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement systems and deploy them successfully into the organization.
  • Knowledge of and experience with firewalls, routers, IDS/IPS, DLD/DLP, switches and other networking devices.
  • Proficiency with failure, backup and recovery processes, as well as experience performance analysis, failure mode analysis and remediation processes.
  • Knowledge of and experience with three-tiered application architecture management, especially web architectures.
  • Solid understanding of security and data management best practices.
Certificates and Licenses:
Project Management, Security, or Network Management certification is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Must be a Professional Leader, work with little supervision and have the ability to adapt quickly and lead.
