Provide cyber security strategic thinking, analysis, research and writing to support development of policies, procedures, training and programs to advance the DS strategic vision. Apply process improvement expertise and methodologies to identify, implement and enhance enterprise metrics collection and apply root cause analysis to improve the
effectiveness and efficiency of DS information assurance (IA) processes. Support may include identification of candidate processes for improvement, mentoring of Lean Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt candidates, and the assistance in executing process improvement projects.

Responsibilities:
Document and make recommendations to the Government for improvements to processes for Continuous Monitoring, Assessment & Authorization (A&A), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503, JWICS Connection Approval Process (JCAP), Security Controls Assessor (SCA) training, Communications Planning, System Lifecycle, Change Management, and Records Management.
Define the necessary business rules associated with new/improved processes
Define, document and critically review final business processes for all processes examined
Apply critical thinking skills, and professional judgment and skepticism to successfully deliver time sensitive deliverables to support the enterprise network
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

Qualifications:
Must have at least 7 years of specialized experience in IA (i.e. IA governance, cyber security, continuous monitoring, network operations, security tools, IT security audit and/ or assessment, etc. ) processes and knowledgeable in process improvement
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/ or experience
Knowledge of security management practices, network infrastructure, devices and tools, and assessment methodologies
Knowledge and familiarity of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800 series, specifically NIST SP 800-53, 800-37, and 800-137
Active TS/SCI clearance

Required security certifications:
Security+ required, or must be obtained within 3 months
of hire. CISSP, CISA or equivalent
desired.
