The function of the Industrial Electrical Engineer is to design, coordinate, communicate and be responsible for the development of industrial type control systems and electronics of Mistras’ Custom Automation Systems from design planning through manufacturing and commercialization.
1. Systems Design and Development
a Responsible for project development including system conceptualization, specification, design planning, communications (verbal and written), design, building, testing, documentation and on-time and on-budget delivery.
b. Responsible for generating complete documentation throughout the design including engineering planning documents, design documents, drawings, production documentation, test procedures and system user and technical manuals.
2. Motion Control Architecture
a. Responsible for designing and integrating control system architecture for Industrial Automation Systems, including motion control, sensors and feedback, servo-loops, PID programming, and integrated I/O.
b. Responsible for development and design improvements for motion control, DAQ, and Signal Processing hardware, including board level design, programming, I/O interfaces, and electronic enclosures.
3. Project Management
a. Responsible for working as part of a team on multiple, simultaneous projects at various support, responsibility levels.
b. Responsible for Project Planning and documentation, as well as leadership of multidisciplinary teams for on-time and on-budget delivery of complete custom automation systems.|
