Information Assurance expertise to timely detect and provide meaningful analysis in determining responses both immediate and long term. Formal documentation creation suitable as Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or auditing artifacts, decision briefs, executive summaries, Standard Operating Procedures and memorandums. Inspection team member able to articulate security controls, mitigation techniques and determine risk.
Qualifications - Five (5) years demonstrated experience in developing training related materials and user documentation. A minimum of three (3) years of experience must be related to DOD maintenance
1. Assisting the Government in preparing for U.S. Army Networthiness and/or DIACAP audits
2. Notifying Government personnel of NOC/network vulnerabilities discovered in the performance of assigned duties
3. Provide guidance and advice in support and deployment of network and security technologies
4. Perform IA functions to identify, measure, and control threats to minimize the unauthorized disclosure of information via application of cost-effective countermeasures, while ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
5. Implementing procedures that will detect unauthorized use of and protect Information Technology (IT) resources
6. Administer or be responsible for network scanners, sniffers, network analyzers, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) appliances or modules and firewalls
7. Assist the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) in identifying possible security breaches, attempted intrusions, and unauthorized accesses to data
8. Ensure that planned and actual network software and equipment installations are accomplished in accordance with applicable security policies and regulations
9. Assist higher-level security officials with conducting network risk analysis, security tests, and evaluations
10. Work with IAM, users, system administrators, and other IA support personnel to ensure security regulations are followed and that security standard is met
11. Assist the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) with Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), IA Bulletins, and IA Technical Tips are disseminated to appropriate personnel within their area of responsibility
12. Ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01–M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program
13. When IAVAs are issued for hardware, operating systems, and/or applications, the Contractor recommend corrective action and document process for corrective actions when authorized by the Information Assurance Manager, NOC supervisor or COR/COTR
