Provides assistance and direction in the planning, implementation, teaching and utilization of clinical and financial information systems. Assists in the coordination of departmental computer needs before during and after implementation. Responsible for coordination of the design and implementation of computer products across functional ancillary and clinical areas. (e.g. Medical Staff, Health Information Services, Person Management). Assists with security compliance monitoring and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCE DETERMINATION
I. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Health Information, or business related field required
II. License/Certification: N/A
III. Experience: Minimum of two years hospital experience required. Must display overall working knowledge of hospital, clinical departments and financial areas. Must be proficient in the use of major application software packages including operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Must display moderate level of technical understanding.
