This position is located in West Bethesda, Maryland, at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). This position serves as the Division Technical lead for web content filtering; providing technical expertise for the proper installation, administration, operation, maintenance and monitoring of web content filtering on the Division Research, Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) networks.

As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), your duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Providing operation and maintenance support for Information Assurance (IA) program hardware, software, and tools used for the Vulnerability Management Program;
· Identifying and managing vulnerabilities;
· Preparing recommendations for improvement to vulnerability management with RDT&E lab systems;
· Planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and software applications;
· Manipulating data and provide reporting to management and lab personnel.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-9/10 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Information Technology work planning the installation of new or modified Information Assurance (IA) hardware, software or operating systems to improve vulnerability management. Additionally, your experience in the information technology field has equipped you with skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.
This position is a Cyber Security Workforce IAT Level II position as defined in DoD 8570-1. Upon request of the Information Assurance Manager (IAM), the employee shall provide documentation supporting the Cyber Security certification status. The employee shall ensure he/she maintains certification status in accordance with DoD 8570-1 within 6 months of hire or shall be removed from the position. Acceptable certifications for this position are one of the following: CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), and Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
