*Up to $60,000 DOE

Job responsibilities:
The Database Administrator DBA)Oracle Developer is responsible for activities related to the management, maintenance, analysis and implementation of enterprise-wide databases. The DBA will maintain database availability, reliability and performance that commensurate with all service level agreements. The DBA provides support for all
Linux, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL environments including resolving database related issues escalated from the Service Desk. This position requires technical knowledge and experience in database management techniques including monitoring, security, backup, recovery, and server hardware builds. In the Developer role, this person will be working on enhancing current applications (forms and reports), participating in projects, troubleshooting and fixing bugs.

Qualifications:
The qualifications outlined below represent the requirements, knowledge and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position.

*Prefer strong overall knowledge of database management responsibilities for Linux x86, Linux x86-64, and RHEL 5.0/6.0

*Experience with Oracle 10g, Application Server 10g, Oracle 11g including installation and maintenance of Oracle software on all platforms is a plus

*Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite - Installation, Configuration and Management.

*Experience in assessing, planning, designing, developing, testing and implementing enterprise-wide database environments

*Experience with version control tools, SQL Navigator, TOAD, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus (Oracle), t-SQL (Microsoft), Linux tools, and shell programming/ scripting

*Experience with version control software such as PVCS and/or SVN.

*Experience with a database modeling software (CA ERWIN) is highly desirable.

*Minimum of two year of proven experience in database administration in a high-volume and critical production service environment

Skills:
*Knowledgeable of virtualization technology including experience with KVM and XEN (Oracle VM)

*Experience with assisting developers in resolving application development issues including contacting appropriate vendors such as submitting Oracle's TARs

*Experience working on project teams including providing technical consultation to project managers on impacts to database environments

*Experience in support duties such as database change management and best practices, performance tuning, hardware refresh, monitoring, backup and recovery, and security

*Experience in identifying networking issues pertaining to database design, optimization, and implementation within client server and web architectures

Education:

*Bachelor of Science degree is preferred in any of the computer technology disciplines (MIS, CS, IT, etc.)

*Understands and promotes the Agency's vision, mission and goals

*Provides a high level of customer service and ensures all Service Level Agreements are met

*Maintains an active and constructive dialogue with support staff in section, divisions and agency

*Maintains a constructive and harmonious relationship with all support staff, members of the Leadership team, staff from other divisions, and staff from the Attorney General's Office.

This position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)

RETIREMENT:
This position participates in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS)*.

* ASRS enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment, if not already an ASRS member at the time of hire.
