POSITION REQUIRES EXTENSIVE DRIVING AND VARIED WORK HOURS. MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD AND BACKGROUND. RESPONSIBLE FOR WORK LOCATIONS IN INLAND EMPIRE, SGV, AND ORANGE COUNTY. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Office/Administrative 1. Make any payroll changes from the previous day’s activity. 2. Review any vacation request from employees and verify that replacements are scheduled. 3. Conduct interviews with applicants to fill any position openings. 4. Submit supply orders as necessary. 5. Follow-up with any injured employee to find out how the treatment is going. 6. Turn in equipment to warehouse person for repair or replacement. 7. Inspect and check vehicle(s) weekly for tire wear, brakes, oil and cleanliness. Jobsite(s) 1. Inspect jobsite(s) for deficiencies: a. Employee i. Is the employee wearing Diamond’s uniform or T-shirt ii. Is the employee wearing their back brace iii. Does the employee have on appropriate shoes iv. Is the employee using proper safety equipment when performing work such as eye goggles, gloves, etc.. v. Is the employee wearing their I.D. badge b. Entrance area i. Entrance door and threshold ii. Baseboards and window sills iii. Elevator cleaning and tracks c. Hallways i. Carpet and vinyl floors ii. Window sills iii. High and low dusting d. Office area i. Door spotting ii. Carpet spotting iii. Detail vacuuming under desk iv. Blinds v. High and low dusting e. Restroom iv. Entrance door v. Restocking all supplies vi. Behind toilets, underneath urinals, around and under sinks vii. High dusting partitions, vents, mirrors viii. Walls and floors f. Stairwells i. Handrails ii. Stairs swept iii. Dusting on light fixtures g. Lunchroom i. Carpet or vinyl floor ii. Counter clean especially behind microwaves and coffee machines iii. High dusting especially refrigerators and vending machines iv. Cabinets cleaned v. Pictures dusted vi. Window sills and base boards clean h. Janitor Closet i. Check all supply inventory ii. Inspect all equipment (vacuum, wet vacuums, buckets, wringers, etc.. and verify that all equipment is working properly. iii. Inspect all spray bottles to ensure they are labeled. iv. Verify that the MSDS book is present and updated v. Are all job task sheets posted vi. Is the closet clean and organized Schedules 1. Create a daily work schedule for your account. Submit to Management by Friday for the following week. 2. Meet with and/or talk to your clients at a minimum monthly. 3. Every job must have a job task sheet for each employee that includes all frequencies required by contract. 4. Maintain an updated on-call list for all accounts. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conduct periodic performance evaluations with direct reports and staff. 2. Consult with VP-Operations and Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues. 3. Report any work injuries or illnesses immediately to Human Resources so employee will receive proper care and follow through. 4. Attend all management meetings, as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides supervision and work direction to Project Managers, Area Supervisors, Route Waxers and Janitorial Personnel KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: To be successful in this position, the incumbent must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Education and Experience: 1. BS/BS degree from a college or university desired; plus 2. Five or more years of managerial experience in a multi-site environment, plus 3. Five or more years related experience in a janitorial or custodial company or other service-related organization. Abilities: 1. Understand and speak English to communicate and interact effectively with supervisor, co-workers and customers. 2. Understand and speak Spanish is desired. 3. The ability to read, understand and communicate safety rules, regulations, procedures, inspection lists, charts, chemical compounds and work directions. 4. The ability to work safely in accordance with company and job site safety procedures. 5. The ability to provide work direction to others both verbally and in writing. 6. The ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings to meet the demands of the position. Other Requirements 1. Safe driving record and proof of current auto insurance required. 2. The incumbent/employee must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test with periodic retesting requirements during the course of his or her employment with Diamond Contract Services.
