SUMMARY: This position will conduct independent audits of financial records and procedures; review and appraise policies and procedures for safeguarding company assets; prepare written analyses, conclusions, findings and recommendations based on audit work performed. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policy/standards.

Conduct reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities, under the direction of the Corporate Compliance Officer/ Director–Asset Protection in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls over those activities.
Determine whether organizational units of the company are performing their planning, accounting, custodial and control activities in compliance with management instructions, applicable policies and procedures, relevant laws and regulations, and a manner consistent with both institutional objectives and good business practices.
Perform special reviews, consultations, research projects or other tasks as directed.
Extensive air and car travel in multiple regions of the country required.
Ability to multi-task under pressure.
Must demonstrate positive corporate citizenship and the Rush Driving Principles.

QUALIFICATIONS AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Accounting or Business Administration Degree preferred. Proficiency in application of internal auditing standards, procedures and techniques, good written and verbal communications skills, one to two years progressively more responsible work experience in a financial institution preferred.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Unencumbered driving record.
CFE-Certified Fraud Examiner certification attained within 6 months of employment.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Proficient in accounting and general accounting principles.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess tact, assertiveness, and reasonableness in identifying and communicating recommendations.
Other Skills and Abilities: Bi-lingual helpful. Excellent computer skills to include Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook.
