DESCRIPTION

The Inventory Control Manager will have the primary responsibility of managing the department and the responsibility of all inventory in the JP Distribution Centers. The function of the Inventory Control Manager is to continuously work towards the elimination of operational errors by controlling the flow of inventory, organization of materials and product, orders and related documents and data as efficiently as possible. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the department's personnel, budgets, performance and practices. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the department's performance and practices. It is expected that the Inventory Control Manager will establish measurable milestones and objectives for the department, teams and for individual team members. The Inventory Control Manager will be a mentor to all team members, identify leaders and encourage upward mobility. The Inventory Control Manager will work alongside employees, while providing training, guidance and supervising. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the management, recruitment and leading of a team of full time and part time employees to process different types of orders on time, accurately and efficiently. The Inventory Control Manager will accurately report all activities within your department to Accounting for proper billing and accounting. The Inventory Control Manager is expected to be subject matter expert and have deep understanding of the job. It is expected that the Inventory Control Manager will be capable of identifying and developing solutions to complex problems. The Inventory Control Manager must be able to communicate effectively to diverse audiences. It is expected the manager will encourage innovation in all areas of the department. Success in the Inventory Control Manager role is measured by the timeliness and accuracy of the department and completed projects. Specific metrics will be determined by Service Level Agreements.

DUTIES

** Manage all Inventory Control related activities of the warehouse by maintaining organization of materials and product. ** Ensure all client requirements are satisfied within project scope, on time and on budget. ** Enforce, develop and maintain all Inventory Control quality standards for Jagged Peak. ** Enhance and develop department practices, guidelines and Standard Operating procedures. ** Develop and manage the department budget. ** Maintain up to date Policy and Procedure Manuals for all IC procedures.** Ensure that programs established meet and exceed client requirements and all federal, state and local regulations. ** Manage, develop and motivate IC team of approximately 7-15 employees.** Ensure clear understanding of client requirements and educate employees regarding those requirements. ** Maintain orderly tracking of production job material inventory, conduct incoming material receipt inspections, post shipping, receiving, and issue status. Establish training needs and areas of improvement for personnel.** Provide weekly and monthly department status and performance reports. ** Oversee all assignments to be delivered in scope, on time and on budget.** Organize the department to handle multiple types of orders.** Train and deploy personnel to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of department operations.** Ensure clear understanding of each client's requirements and relate it to all employees** Develop and manage department budget.** Provide weekly and monthly department status and performance reports.** Develop and enhance the department practices and guidelines.** Encourage all team members to improve skills and knowledge.** Manage, supervise, coach and model appropriate behavior and training of personnel.** Track absences, vacation time, and hours worked for all personnel.** Track performance, discipline, and enforcement of all company policies and procedures.** Monitor personnel to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of department operations.** Encourage all team members to improve skills and knowledge. ** Ensure all job numbers and employee's time are accurately recorded on timesheets daily. ** Monitor employee's attitude towards their job. ** Assess equipment and material requirements. ** Organize the department to handle multiple types of jobs, maintain maximum flexibility at all times.** Review and provide proper set up, instructions, samples, and hours for job completion to employees assigned to each job.** Communicate any delays or problems before and/or during production of a project to other managers, General Manager, and/or COO as necessary.** Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience: H.S. Degree / GED College Degree Certification/License*H.S. diploma or GED5-10 years experience in Supply Chain Management with a thorough knowledge of Supply Chain operations.3-5 years experience in a Management level position directly related to Inventory Control in a high-volume distribution oriented environment. Experience supervising/managing work flow processMath and problem-solving skills for SLA metricsPrevious successful responsibility for meeting order production metrics Previous and recent forklift certification and use of pallet jacksExperience and understanding of International and Domestic Shipping (Import/Export).
