This position will have responsibility for Human Subjects Protection (including submission analysis, compliance, and oversight) and IRB Operations (including communication with Principal Investigators in the Research Institute and other institutions) as well as other duties falling under the IRB.The mission of the IRB Office is to:
• Protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects
• Maintain compliance with federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to human subject research, as well as relevant state and local laws
• Help CHOP maintain the highest quality of research in basic science and clinical medicine in order to remain a world-renowned, pioneer institution for pediatric research
• Provide timely, effective, efficient and courteous service to the research community
