The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating across a virtual team of operational process owners in the focus areas of Internal / External Audit and Documentation Compliance. The PM will manage a virtual team to prepare solutions to address any operational gaps to documented standards and manage projects to implement the solutions to closure.
Lead and manage one or more projects as part of the larger Risk and Compliance program
Serve as primary interface with GIS operational process owners and GE Policy / Standard owners, helping to define the requirements and scorecard progress
Develop and execute comprehensive projects from project initiation, through planning, design and execution and ending with project control and closure
Manage daily activities, issue resolution and communication across projects in order to deliver projects on-time and on-budget
Assess the relationship between broad standards, business-specific situations, and technical solutions; work with Function Compliance Champions to create complain operational processes that are audit ready
Create or modify templates, tools, examples and enablers specific to a policy or standard
Assist with the development, drafting and employment of general policies, procedures and processes
Analyze documentation and other information to identify risks and inconsistencies
Build networks and relationships with other functional areas to build support for the audit plans and initiatives
Proactively identify project issues and risks, and work with the project team for timely resolutions
Prepare project communications and documentation including executive briefings, project tollgate deliverables, weekly status reports, blog postings, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Bachelor’s Degree of Arts from an accredited college or university
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT project management with a demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements

Project management experience translating high level compliance requirements to IT infrastructure environments
Experience or knowledge of various IT technologies, including Mainframes, Servers, Networks, Cloud infrastructure and desktop technologies
Experienced in Process Design and Improvement
Lean Six Sigma Certification (GE Employees Only)
Exposure to SOX, ISO, or other control frameworks
Experience writing or reviewing policies, standard operating procedures and / or work instructions
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Strong analytical skills – strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical communities
Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, supports and drives change and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
