Main Purpose of Job
The Data Informatics Manager is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive data management and reporting stragegy that gives the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) the capability to maintain and enhance its information assets, analyze data, and produce any and all required statistical, performance, and metrics reports. Specifically, the Data Informatics Manager will have oversight over the MHBE data architecture and stragegy; data quality, consistency and controls; data warehouse management; business intelligence tools management; extract, transform, and load (ETL) services; ad hoc reports; operational metrics support, and maintenance of data level memorandums of understanding. The Data Informatics Manager will have the support of direct report staff and contractors for fulfilling data informatics goals and objectives.
MINIMUM EDUCATION OR GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other information technology related field and 4 years of professional IT experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications systems and programs using generally accepted computer programming languages or other developmental tools with one year of this experience at a supervisory level. A Master’s degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
