The IT Analyst will is responsible for providing desktop and network administration support to Oasis Petroleum’s internal and remote users. Candidates should have extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. Candidates should be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. Must be able to follow a problem to resolution and assist with providing root cause for severe and reoccurring issues.

Essential Job Functions:
Maintain an inventory of deployed hardware, software installations, and available equipment
Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues and implement new products
Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization
Create user accounts and managing access control based on company policies
Create, tracking, and closing tickets in Remedy system
Deploy hardware and software to the end users, including VOIP telephony
Install and troubleshoot Microsoft operating systems and office applications
Install and troubleshoot industry specific applications
Create telephone extensions, mailboxes, adding handsets, troubleshooting call quality,and related functions on a Cisco based PBX
Create users, distribution lists, and public folders for Microsoft Exchange 2010
Create users, security groups, organizational units, group policies, logon scripts for Windows Active directory

Minimum Qualifications:
High School degree/GED
Ability to problem solve and assist with providing a customer service attitude
Must be able to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows 7 client operating systems
Must be able to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows Server 2008 operating systems
Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010
Experience with NTFS permissions and File Shares
Experience with ticketing software such as Remedy, Peregrine, or Altiris
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 40 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

Preferred Qualifications:
College degree in Information Systems or related field preferred
3 years of experience
Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
Cisco firewall and network switching experience, Layer 2 and Layer 3
Microsoft SharePoint experience
Experience with Cisco based PBX
