The Process Application Data group with the Chevron Information Technology Company provides Business Intelligence solutions to the different Operating Companies and Business Units within the enterprise. This position is with the Business Analytics Organization within the Data Assets and Analytics group.
The person in this position will have primary responsibility for consulting on projects around the design and delivery of Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions, evaluating customer opportunities and implementing the best solutions within our Microsoft technologies stack. The focus for this position is the Microsoft frontend/visualization and ETL/interface expertise, but looking for an individual that can do data warehouse design as well. These solutions must reflect an enterprise-wide, strategic view and ensure that the solution fits within established standards. The position will be on the Business Analytics Analysis & Requirements BI team.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Consulting with the business
Designing & Implementing Solutions within the Microsoft stack, with a primary focus on customer front-end/visualization & ETL tools
Implementing most current Microsoft toolset into our current offering
Facilitating or completing analysis, design and programming of viable solutions to high-complexity business problems.
Ability to manage a small Projects (Project Management skills). Facilitating or completing analysis, design and programming of viable solutions to high-complexity business problems. Establish and manage to plan and timelines.
Providing thought leadership within the team around the Business Intelligence Microsoft technologies
Managing and/or direct development teams, locally and/or off-shore
Performing advanced troubleshooting
Independently researching and recommending alternative actions for problem resolution
Requires strong technical leadership and the ability to Coach/Mentor less experienced technical team members
Developing or approving detailed program specifications and complying with project management methodology requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Sciences, or related field
Minimum of 5+ years consulting and developing within the Microsoft Technologies, specifically focused on front-end Dash-boarding and Reporting
Experience in MS BI Tools - SharePoint BI (PowerPivot, PerformancePoint, Power View, Excel Services), SSRS, & MDX
Knowledge of Microsoft ETL and Database Design (SSIS, DBMS, SSAS)
Proficient with Microsoft Project
Strong knowledge of and experience with business intelligence/analytics and data warehouse concepts, techniques, and methodologies
Hands-on experience with coding and code reviews
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Oil & Gas Domain Experience is desired, though not required
