Job Description:
The IT Business Partner is accountable to the business customers for the business value and performance of IT services and is also accountable to the IT function for advocacy of IT policies, strategies, and practices.

Responsibilities:
Developing and aligning business unit IT strategies, aligned with business and Corporate IT strategies

Providing input to internal IT strategy discussions

Translating business strategies into IT requirements, sourcing IT services to meet requirements (current and future), and measuring their business value

Working with IT service delivery managers to ensure services meet customer needs, providing meaningful input into service levels and related prices

Providing projected demand for services; performing the demand management role for services provided by IT services providers

Managing the full IT budget and long range planning for each business unit, aligning with BU management on the costs and value of services provided

Understanding business processes end-to-end, actively measuring business contribution of enabling systems (functional business system measures) and initiating improvement to the process and/or systems

Owning FEL and business case development for projects, providing sponsorship and guidance

Translating Corporate Governance policies into BU actions

Managing business unit-specific software portfolio and owning the relationship with business-specific vendors and industry groups

Communicating to the BU and IT communities on activities and changes to ensure alignment across the global businesses and IT function

Driving the strategic direction, quality and performance of key business systems such as: EPMS, LiveLink+, SmartPlant, Knowledge Sharing, gCMS, SAP-P2P, FOSNT, etc.

Qualifications:
Degree in MIS, Computer Science or an IT related field

Demonstrated experience with the IT Business Analyst role

Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning experience

Demonstrated experience with defining and managing performance metrics

Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Gas Industry

Demonstrated experience in project management methodology and tools

Demonstrated experience in supply chain methodology and tools

Demonstrated experience in document and data management methodology and tools

Demonstrated experience with business process management methodology and tools

Demonstrated experience with organizational change management methodology and tools

Demonstrated SAP experience with PS, Supply Chain, FI/CO, GTS and MM

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

Able to work independently, self motivated with strong customer orientation

Works well in a team environment and ability to build and maintain positive relationships

Good verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to influence

Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and priorities

Expert (demonstrated skills without assistance) with Microsoft Office tools
