Line of Business: OPS - IT SERVICES Job Category: Professional Primary
Purpose: Highest level business process consultant/analyst responsible for
providing business process, design, and analysis support for developing
solutions for interfacing business and computer application systems. Develop or
modify procedures to solve complex business problems considering client needs,
process analysis, design, simulation, application capabilities and industry
requirements. Competent to perform as a technical manager and to lead work on
all phases of business systems analysis up to the enterprise level of the
organization's business processes and systems. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this
job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not
mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Analyze,
design, simulate and define solutions for the most complex system processes.
Analyze business requirements and develop effective technology solutions. 2.
Possess the highest level understanding of organization's business systems and
industry requirements. Assist in the business process redesign and documentation
as needed for new technology. 3. Translate high level business requirements into
functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such
specifications. 4. Focus on process analysis and re-engineering, with an
understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current
and future business environment. 5. Create process change by integrating new
processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted
Business Systems teams. 6. Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
7. Lead re-engineering teams and act as project manager in some cases. 8. Stay
current with emerging technologies, their strengths and weaknesses and their
application to business solutions. Required Skills and Competencies: The

related curriculum or equivalent work experience 2. Fifteen or more years of
experience and high proficiency with the following Information Technologies: .
Information security best practices . IT performance/scalability principles .
Relational database technologies . Principles of a service oriented architecture
. Mainframe, distributed, Web, and/or networking technologies . Design tools and
techniques . Application development methodologies . Technology testing and
change implementation best practices 3. Highly competent communication and
documentation skills 4. Working knowledge of PC applications such as Microsoft
Office 5. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team 6. Ability to
direct other team members and train others 7. Ability to travel as needed
