PURPOSE:
Develop, execute and manage a comprehensive Information Technology (IT) category strategy capable of delivering excellent results and support to the Corporate IT organization. As a valued Team Member, provide guidelines and consultancy for local, regional and global execution of IT business requirements. Provide tools and guidance for IT team members to develop, execute and sustain sub-category or specific supply chain strategies, within IT.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s in Operations management, business management , Accounting, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent. MBA is preferred. Five to Ten years of supply chain experience, in IT Category Management. Candidate must have excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills; Project Management experience, expert working knowledge of spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Must be a self starter, with a sound understanding of Information Technology, change management, process impr
ovements, supplier management systems. Candidate must be a “Team Player”, a Self-starter, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, with experience in developing and providing leadership for cross functional/cross organizational teams. Must demonstrate excellent presentation skills and exceptional negotiation skills.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Provide leadership and training, as required for a variety of IT related initiatives, such as telephony leveraging, hardware refresh/computer replacement across the company, working with various sites and regions to ensure process uniformity, rollout consistency, timely & effective communication among and between Regions, in multiple geographies.
RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position will be in contact with all levels of the organization internally and externally. Must understand and demonstrate sound relationship management principles and practices in daily communication.

The scope of responsibilities
for this position involves a variety of strategic, tactical, administrative, functional and project management duties. It also involves supplier management, strong negotiation and administrative duties, working closely with IT network, security, architecture and other functions, within IT. The ideal candidate will work with the IT organization to identify improvement opportunities, perform True-up analysis, develop and maintain spread-sheets, manage suppliers that provide a variety of services, (e.g. Software License, Professional Services, Network Architecture, IT Security and Protocols, Installation, Telephony Supplies & Services) and other such support services. Working with IT function partners, look for continuous improvements opportunities in the IT function that may result in providing FMC with a competitive advantage and/or functionality improvements, price advantages, improved quality, better service, consistent reliability, logistics support, business-to-business integration, currencies and/or
reduced total cost..
Work with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, Information Technology, Engineering, and Project Management to clearly identify and complete all business requirements..
Annually/Semi-Annually, perform “true-up” analysis for software licenses, to validate the number of software licenses, in each region, to ensure that FMC is paying for the correct software licenses with various software companies (Adobe, Microsoft, Symantec, etc.). Also, may be responsible for quarterly performance reporting against category strategies and goals.
Develop, communicate and manage specific supplier improvement initiatives, perform contract administration duties on a continuous basis. Risk and probability analysis is essential to eliminate errors in judgment. Candidate will be responsible for making sound recommendations and timely completion of assigned tasks & actions. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Spends most of time in an office environment with limited time spent in a production environment.No strenuous physical demands. Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Occasion Travel Required
