Information Technology Services at Western State Colorado University is seeking an energetic, motivated, versatile, customer service oriented individual to join our team as Customer Service Administrator. This position is the first point of contact for our Department and is responsible for making sure we deliver excellent service to our stakeholders.
The position handles incoming requests, consults with the customers and solves the issue or routes the request appropriately. As a part of this role, the position monitors the work request system to ensure accuracy and timeliness of request processing and resolution.
The position is the primary communication conduit to campus community for common department business. Also responsible for maintaining the department web presence by consulting with the subject experts to ensure information is relevant and accurate.
The position provides training on selected IT Services and software products.
This position oversees the addition and integration of new employees into our IT systems, including basic training on the various software and hardware that make up our particular office environment. Also responsible for managing the removal of employees upon their departure.
This position may supervise one or more student employees, including scheduling, assigning tasks, training and other human resource tasks.
In addition, this position is responsible for managing and renewing as appropriate software and hardware maintenance contracts, doing departmental purchasing, assist with managing the budget and other office management and administrative tasks.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Competence with Microsoft Office software
-Use of normal office computing equipment.
-Experience in a customer service role
-Microsoft Office Specialist or above
-Formal teaching or training experience
-Experience diagnosing technology related problems
-Advanced skills with Microsoft Office
-Experience using enterprise information systems
-Experience in a customer service management role in an IT environment
-Experience working for/managing a technology helpdesk or similar technology related role
-Technical writing skills
-Experience working for an institution of higher education
-Experience managing budgets
