The Director of Information Technology is the most senior I.T. position at Falken Tire Corporation (FTC) reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The position includes the direct management of IT operations and provides the technology leadership to ensure value-based and customer-focused IT service delivery. The position involves hands on management of a mix of services delivered by staff and outsourced partners. Key responsibility is to focus, lead and govern FTC's technology support services and deploy methodologies and standards that will improve the IT customer experience.
Prior experience in applications design and development, systems analysis, fiscal management, technology strategy, vendor management, project management, IT system planning and implementation, computer and auxiliary operations, business solutions delivery and the ability to drive change throughout an organization by recommending and implementing appropriate new technologies for the enterprise is required.
The Director will fulfill a key role in the decision making, operations and support of the infrastructure, data and applications environment. The Candidate must have excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills in establish order to build the necessary relationships with their internal and external customers. Position requires skills to mentor and motivate staff, collaborate with the business users to develop technology solutions that meet their needs and exhibit the enthusiasm needed to accelerate change.
As a member of the management team, the position will develop policies and procedures, technical standards and methods and schedules. IT is a critical factor to the company's internal control environment so the position will be the key interface with both internal and external audit
Minimum Qualifications: Must have experience in large ERP systems, especially implementation of one. Oracle eBusiness Suite preferred.Knowledge of Infrastructure, networks, programming telecommunications, media, storage management and security.Software Development Lifecycle knowledge (Design, Development, Test, Implementation, User Acceptance) and the development of processes and procedures that will drive a standard throughout I.TChange Control experience. Ability to refine processes to ensure that proper check in / check of application code processes are in place. Development of coding standardsIdentify if the technology stack in place is sufficient for growth and expandability for the businessIdentify leading edge tools to drive efficiencies (Project Management, Source code management, change control, SDLC processes)Develop a roadmap for leading the technology organization towards new technologies that will provide the business a competitive advantage , drive revenues or reduce costs.Ability to translate the business strategy to technology solutionsMust be available 24x7 (on call).

Academic Requirements: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field from an accredited university and IT Certifications.
