This position functions as an Information Technology specialist who administers the Help Desk in support of systems and services for end users. This includes the ability to exist as point person for end user problem resolution, utilize system and services that manage the resolution process and monitor and report on business systems and infrastructure status. Administering system updates to core systems and software in a minimally invasive fashion – after business hours – is required. Position will also be responsible for interfacing with internal peers to assist in the support of projects and obtain general knowledge of the business systems and infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist end-users with system and service utilization and problems
Build and install new PCs and other peripheral equipment and assist with their configurations
Ability to administer system and network access
Perform upgrades and support for Desktop/Telecom hardware and software
Maintain inventory database for infrastructure components, software and licensing
Administer reporting metrics for Helpdesk, infrastructure and business systems
Understand resolution techniques used to support servers, local area networks, network equipment, telecom systems and databases.
Participate in on-call responsibilities to support IT Systems after hours, which includes system updates, server updates, batch, and testing the client.
Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Experience with PC, printer, network and telecom administration and maintenance
Experience in installation and configuration of current operating systems and utilities
Experience in customer service
Experience with a variety of business systems and services
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to provide quality service to co-workers and vendors
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Detail oriented with good organizational skills
Ability to collect and analyze data
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to present a positive and professional image to staff and members
Ability to use a personal computer, proficient in using word processing, spreadsheet, database and graphics programs and able to read and create graphs
