If so, we ’d like to talk to you about joining our IT team. Essential Functions: Provides internal customer service and desktop uptime through troubleshooting. Listens to and advocates for Columbia staff. Utilizes ticketing system to field, record, and document problem resolutions for employees Determines root cause of issues by interviewing users using terms and concepts that they understand, answers questions, and shares technical expertise.

Shows demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and schedule work appropriately, while dealing with interruptions, and emergency situations. Improves computing infrastructure through procurement, configuration, and proactive projects. Quotes, procures, and configures new computer desktops. Researches, suggests, and implements projects to proactively improve the desktop environment.

Exhibits solid performance in the job skills of: Teamwork, Communication, Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, Flexibility, Leadership, Technical Expertise, Professional Attitude, Organization, and Dependability. Technical Skills: Require knowledge of Microsoft software including: Windows 7, XP, Office Suite, and Windows Server 2003 and higher. Required basic knowledge of client, server, network, application, printer, and device interactions, testing, and troubleshooting Preferred knowledgeable in Active Directory, CAD systems, phone systems, mobile devices – iPhones, Mac troubleshooting, remote desktop support, SQL, Linux, DNS, DHCP, video conferencing, iSeries, AS400, DB2, PowerShell scripting, Wireless, Lawson M3, SalesForce, AD Group Policy, Juniper firewalls, Cisco switches, HP Switches, and/or SharePoint.
