Provide design, implementation and management support of the Storage and Backup infrastructure within the Purdue IT environment at a L3 level. Principle accountabilities include providing Technology Solutions to advance the Business and the infrastructure of Purdue. Coordinate efforts with managed services as well as other IT organizations, to facilitate changes to the complex environment.

Educational Requirements

BS/Equivalent Training / Certification and 8+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrates mastery of one discipline and an advanced knowledge of multiple disciplines and their inter-dependencies. Collaborates with peers to develop solutions. May mentor or coach staff in some cases.

Required Experience & Technical Requirements

Technical Requirements Proficient in the following storage technologies is required:
  • EMC Symmetrix arrays including DMX-4 & VMAX 20K
  • EMC VNX arrays including 7xxx, 5xxx, 3xxx
  • EMC RecoverPoint
  • Cisco MDS switches 9xxx Proficiency in the following storage technologies is preferred:
  • NetApp arrays including FAS6xxx, FAS3xxx, FAS2xxx
