We're seeking a highly enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who has a knack for computers and loves to help people out. This position is responsible for motivating a team of IT professionals to deliver excellent customer service to our employees. You will need a background in IT support, and must be able to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The candidate should be energetic, patient, and good natured and have a sense of humor, and must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
In this role, you will:
Provide strong leadership and direction, excel at multi-tasking and have the ability to ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment
Manage a top-performing IT team to achieve ambitious strategic objectives
Define and manage business processes while getting buy-in and driving change across the organization
Plan and execute infrastructure changes and improvements
Prepare the team for new product / service releases, and stay up-to-date with competing technologies
Get your hands dirty with technical execution tasks
Provide support for various remote offices
Ensure compliance with IT security
After-hours and on-call responsibilities as required or defined
To win in this role, you need:
10+ years of IT support/helpdesk (Mac and Windows) experience
5+ years of people management experience across technical spectrum and multiple geographical locations
Strong knowledge of, and experience in, a range of IT topics, including best practices in desktop support, security, corporate systems management and network management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in managing routers/switches/firewalls, phone systems, video conference equipment and various wireless devices
Experience in Windows server 2008+
Experience in virtualization (vmware, xen) a plus
Linux experience a plus
Exposure to SOX compliance a plus
