Reporting to the Company's VP Finance, the IT Manager coordinates all general network activity with GWI IT, performs general hardware and software problem diagnosis, and provides direct end-user support to resolve desktop and laptop issues. The IT Manager participates in establishing and/or maintaining the Company's communications systems with coordination from GWI IT, operations personnel and third party providers. The IT Manager assists in developing the Company's IT Budget and proactively supports the Company's goals, objectives and strategies. The work is primarily of a technical nature but also requires strong customer service and communication skills in carrying out the following duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate IT budgeting and purchasing
Develop business cases for proposed IT projects or assets
Provide project management oversight to local system implementations
Manage local IT partner/vendor relationships, contracts and service
Oversee tape/media backup rotation and off-site storage
Participate on Corporate IT Team
Provide assistance and training on systems that are used (or could be used) by GWI employees to perform their jobs more effectively and efficiently
Support and maintain regional hardware, system software, desktop applications, etc.
Install approved software on personal computers (PCs), laptops and other end-user devices
Manage group membership for file shares
Troubleshoot PC network connectivity
Troubleshoot and support various hardware issues (PC, mouse, modem, monitor, CD's, etc.)
Rebuild PCs, laptops and other regional equipment
Assign assets, maintain spare equipment and dispose of old equipment
Reset network passwords
Support printer/scanner issues
Support cell phone requirements
Provide on-site assistance to GWI IT staff
Education Required: Associate's Degree in Information Technology; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree; same as education required.
Related Experience Required: 2 years related experience.
Related Experience Preferred: 4 years related experience.
