Morgan Lewis is seeking an IT User Support Manager to manage the day-to-day IT functions of the end-user computing environment in its Houston and Dallas offices. This environment consists primarily of users' workstations (desktops and laptops), printers, telephones, and mobile devices. Resident in Houston and reporting to a Regional Director, this position will serve as the liaison between the centralized Firm Information Technology Department (including the Help Desk), local office Information Technology staff, and end-users. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing Level 2 support to the user community; assisting the end-users in understanding the proper application of technology; participating in and providing support for Firm IT initiatives; managing and allocating assets; marketing technology services to the end-user community; balancing the IT team's workflow; managing, developing, and reviewing IT personnel; and ensuring compliance with firm and IT policies and procedures. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position. Occasional travel between offices is required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, a strong service orientation, demonstrated success in project management, a thorough understanding of current technology issues, and the ability to deal effectively with differing opinions and personalities at all levels within the firm. A minimum of ten years directly related experience, including at least three in a supervisory or leadership role is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and demonstrated success in a mid to large size professional services organization strongly preferred.
