The Operational Data Cache (ODC) is intended to be a core data service that can be used by Risk, Finance and Operations to access, update and manage shared data used in business transactions in a scalable and consistent manner. This role will be providing technical support for the ODC as well as ensuring all standards are adhered to provide a stable and secure operating environment.
A high level of knowledge about relational databases – Oracle.
Able to query complex databases for fault finding, reporting, data extracts and problem resolution purposes.
Detailed knowledge of UNIX to access application logs and fault find any environmental issues.
Creation of stored procedures for reporting requests and support tasks.
At least 1 years experience in supporting mission & time critical applications
Proven analysis skills and the ability to effectively liaise with other teams internally and externally to Risk and Finance Technology
Experience in writing technical documents, detailing system processes and data flows.
A working Knowledge of XML and XSD
Familiarity with Oracle Coherence or Caching services
Familiarity with messaging technologies
Familiarity of Java
Exposure to Change management procedures within a large organisation.
Exposure to the ITIL framework
