Analyst position that interfaces with Operations users for solving a wide variety of IT issues. Support an in-house developed bond trade-entry and clearing system. Research, recommend and implement system changes.
Responds to operational system support issues or informational requests in an appropriate, timely manner; conducting research and analysis and communicating findings and results directly with Operations personnel.Assists with improvements to current systems by studying current system capabilities, user practices, procedures, and problems; documenting specifications, designing and implementing modifications to existing source codes.
Documents systems for users; documents issues and support procedures for reference by Production Services analysts and software developers within the IT Operations team.
Log support tasks and resolutions, providing status reports as needed.
Close interaction with IT team members and Operations business users on a daily basis
History of professional and academic success
- Experience with SQL
- Programming experience in Java, Perl or C++
- Experience working with the Unix operating system, Solaris preferred
- Meet deadlines efficiently and work under pressure
- Have the ability to multi-task and manage projects
- Have an organized approach to research and projects with sharp attention to detail
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelors degree in IT-related field preferred
Knowledge of the Securities Industry a plus
