Job Summary:
The IT Operations Specialist performs the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of client computers and related systems. Monitors help desk queues and resolves trouble tickets as required. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems as they relate to client computers and related systems. May also assist with troubleshooting the overall IT infrastructure and performing administrative and maintenance activities on network equipment, servers, and other back office systems.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Providing day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal client systems software and hardware.
2. Installing, configuring and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems, workstations, servers, telephony and network equipment in a heterogeneous environment.
3. Taking a proactive approach to computer/network performance issues.
4. Recommending and assisting with the procurement of hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions upgrades.
5. Participation in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
6. Documenting and tracking of IT assets, services and infrastructure.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum experience of two years.
  • Minimum education: Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft software and operating systems.
  • Microsoft certification preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with managing Macs (OS X, etc.) in a corporate environment.
