Position Summary
The Senior IT Planning Analyst is a key member of the IT Governance and Project Services within the IT Program Office. The IT Governance and Project Services team implements, integrates and executes across the IT organization full lifecycle IT project governance, project management methods and standards, project performance reporting and project management tools including the Project and Portfolio Management Center (PPMc) software application. All services provided are in support of the company’s major annual investment in IT of over 175 application projects in support of the lines of business and an additional over 300 in IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
5 years experience with governance processes
3 years experience with designing and building governance processes
BA/BS in a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Portfolio management software tool skills
Expert skills with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel and Word
DESIRED:
Project Management experience
HP Project and Portfolio Management software tool experience
Responsibilities
Project Governance Reviews:
For the assigned portfolio, work closely with the portfolio’s Business Technology leadership and the project managers to fully understand the business and the projects to support the business. Ensure all required projects are included in the Gate Review process. Ensure proper communication to all attendees and stakeholders of upcoming Gate Review meetings and what is required of them for the meeting. After each meeting, ensure Business Technology leadership and the project managers understand the follow ups and conditions. Monitor the projects in the Project and Portfolio Management tool to determine if required conditions are being met.
Design and Build Processes:
To continuously improve project governance, support the design, build and implementation of effective processes. Requires best practice experience with designing and building governance processes and the ability to successfully drive change.
