Within Chevron's Information Technology Company (ITC), the Complex Request Coordination (CRC) Team works closely with IT partners across the enterprise to deploy operational IT solutions and services. The IT Project Coordinator role provides cross-asset coordination for IT infrastructure projects and efforts led by ITC and IT function partners across Infrastructure Assets including the Data Center, End User Solutions, and Network assets, as well as the Information Risk Strategy Management (IRSM) and Process, Applications, and Data (PAD) assets.
The position is responsible for project intake and management of regional requests which may require planning and coordination across multiple IT function organizations and Business Units.
The IT Project Coordinator will also work to define the requirements and manage implementations of IT infrastructure into new offices and/or office divestments and decommissions. The successful candidate will interface directly with Major Capital Projects, Service Delivery Manager(s), and IT partners to define project priorities, drive issue resolution and lead process improvements and redesign to increase efficiency and support the IT Operating Model.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Coordination of complex technical requests that may involve multiple teams across Infrastructure Assets and the IT Function. Consults, gathers business requirements, plans and schedules work, and ensures alignment with Chevron standards, global tools and processes.
Drives project coordination, including small to medium office deployments for Major Capital Projects across multiple countries within the Americas region.
May include managing network carrier installations, IP telephony and video conferencing deployments that require working with resources across IA and in various locations.
Often accountable for more than one initiative at a time including operational and IT deliverables
Understand and resolve concerns with Business Unit / IT function partners and representatives, act as escalation point, and drive issue resolution.
Builds strong partnerships and acts as a liaison between ITC Infrastructure Asset teams and Business Unit / Major Capital Project IT Partners.
Ability to quickly learn and contribute to the development and execution of IT asset onboarding to IA support from ITC and IT Function partners including those in various international locations
May be involved in large Infrastructure Asset projects due to the cross asset reach of this team. Examples: Server Provisioning Process Improvement, Data Center Rationalization (DCR), Network Device Registration (NDR) improvement.
Gathers and applies continuous improvement processes for operational efficiencies, drives process integration and standardization. Assists in transitioning work to Infrastructure Competency Centers. Uses metrics to measure and improve work process and service delivery experience.
At least 7+ years of IT project management, implementation and/or project coordination.
Project Management / Business Analysis skill - Experience in project scope evaluation, planning, tracking, quality control, and change management as applied to IT infrastructure, technology and/or office deployments.
Ability to influence and work collaboratively in a global, multi-IT-discipline and multi-cultural environment.
Experienced team player with proven track record of coordinating diverse project resources.
Ability to facilitate consensus building and to help others accomplish team goals and objectives.
Technical aptitude on server infrastructure, network components, and end user support modeling.
Analytical problem solving skills in a highly complex technical/functional environment that result in unique solutions to a wide range of problems.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex IT concepts into business language.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or other related degree
Broad range of exposure and/or expertise in multiple IT disciplines including but not limited to: Windows OS, UNIX/Linux, Messaging (Lync, Exchange 2003 & 2010, Mobility), Remedy
Process improvement discovery and implementation experience
