IT Project Manager – Change Management

The IT PM / Change Manager can be based in either New Haven, CT Atlanta, GA or Oakland, CA

Responsibilities
  • Work with IT managers to coordinate efforts of IT team members for strategic initiatives
  • Support the successful completion of the IT Strategic Project Schedule
  • Facilitate IT project research and analysis
  • Facilitate the completion of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Coordinate IT project meetings, tasks and capture meeting notes
  • Plan and schedule project milestones and timelines
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Change Management Group
  • Monitor and report on all IT related change requests on a monthly basis
  • Manage project scope changes, deliverables and resolution of issues to achieve project goals on time
  • Coordinate and motivate project team members
  • Provide direction and support to project teams
Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project management, focus in IT related industry a plus
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent including PMP or ITIL
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • 2-3 years experience with a formal Change Management process
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management and change management
  • Proactive critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Confidence in decision-making
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with leading teams, negotiation and issue management
  • Proven adaptability and stress tolerance
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
