An IT Project Manager (Grade 11) will have primary responsibility for project execution and success, using project management methodologies, tools & techniques to plan execute & support IT projects.

1.Develop and execute projects plans, including cost management, schedule management, resource management, budget management and end user management
2.Quality management, i.e. ensuring quality deliverables using quality techniques throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
3.PMI project management methodology
4.Understanding of various application development methodologies, including iterative, waterfall, and agile
5.IT project management methodology
6.Strong work ethic and high personal standards
7.Excellent communication skills & collaborative mindset
8.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
9.Strong leadership skills

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required in Information Science, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 8 years in IT, with at least 2 years in a Business Analyst role. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a project manager in a technology setting. Prefer experience with Personify AMS.

1.Coaches, mentors and oversees project team members including Business Analysts, QA Testers, Project Leads/Managers, Project Coordinators, and Programmers to accomplish goals, arbitrate feature scope, meet target schedules and milestones, and resolve and mitigate delivery issues
2.Manage and analyze the IT project portfolio to represent business value and enable prioritization for the organization
3.Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies used
4.Provide expertise and consulting to project managers in the process of project management and in the softer skills of team dynamics, team building and group motivation
5.Manages daily activities, issue resolution and communication across project teams
6.Support lifecycle of the projects (customer interaction, technical delivery, & status reporting)
7.Interview and select team staff
8.Business consulting
9.Manage the project portfolio capacity
10.Guide communications to stakeholders and sponsors for project portfolio.
11.Follow IT project management methodology

1.Internal Daily contact with “end users”, which may consist of any employees within the organization as well as external members of ASQ
2.External Daily contact with external parties, such as (but not limited to) service and software providers, and agencies.

1.Planning and scheduling.
2.Budgeting and forecasting. Responsible for providing input to the IT Director.
3.Responsibility for establishing objectives, policies or standards. Accountable for daily decisions that support and reflect effective results from projects assigned. Provide input on policies and procedures related to role responsibilities.
4.Management of project risks

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works independently with supervision from the IT Director.
