POSITION DETAILS

The IT Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end management of very critical projects in collaboration with heavily matrixed teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
  • Overall direction of mid-to-large-scale programs with multiple sub-projects
  • Working closely with University HealthCare Alliance, (UHA) in clinical and business leadership leading a multi-disciplinary teams in design, implementation, workflow optimization, change mangagemt, and issue resolution related to the IT infrastructure assessments, for potential and new UHA acquisitions
  • UHA onboarding activities, Practice Management, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), go-lives, and moves/adds/changes of IT infrastructure at UHA practices in the San Francisco Bay Area
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Lead the definition of Project scope, goals and deliverables and set project expectations across all stakeholders
  • Negotiate and resolve scope creep and other risks associated with executing on the project plans
  • Establish detailed project schedule and budget in conjunction with associated UHA IT project managers, UHA practice managers, physicians & staff, Stanford Hospital & Clinics (SHC) Epic Outreach team members, UHA IT and third party vendor team leads, and UHA managers and directors
  • Ensure all costs over and above the financial scope identified at the outset of the project are clearly identified and approved before progressing further work on the program
  • Lead project steering committee meetings with appropriate content related to project progress, risks, issues, mitigations and any other items that require steering committee actions
  • Lead the maintenance of up-to-date project documentation for all initiatives that include technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables
  • Lead smooth coordination and turnover of projects both at the initial stage and project end/conclusion and transition to operations as required
  • Lead the development and institutionalization of sound project management process disciplines and continuous process improvement by providing creative and proactive thinking with regards to existing processes
  • Lead periodic customer satisfaction surveys - guide project coordinators to collect data and report to UHA IT management
  • Provide input into annual performance review of all project team members as required
