The City of Fort Worth--Financial Management Services/Financial Systems Administration is seeking a qualified IT Solutions Manager.
The selected candidate will participate in planning, management, maintenance, and administration of financial systems, enterprise technologies, computer operations and/or other related information technology services and manage technology projects; assume management responsibility for assigned communications, security, customer service, computer operations and/or other activities within the information technology service delivery process; manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned information technology projects and operational processes; and recommend and administer these policies and procedures.
The selected candidate will provide overall management of projects that span all phases of the information technology delivery process; continuously monitor and evaluate the quality, responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of assigned delivery processes; access departmental needs and recommend equipment and software to purchase; prepare bid specifications and evaluate vendor bids; recommend appropriate action to maintain current and up to date capabilities; serve as liaison between assigned department, city personnel and departments, and outside agencies; attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of information technology and communications.

Skills / Requirements
The following education and/or experience are the minimum standards which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position:
Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or a related information technology field PLUS five (5) years of increasing responsible experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of financial systems, including two (2) years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
Preference may be given to higher levels of education, relevant experience and certifications as they relate to the IT Solutions Manager vacancy.

MS SSIS
Windows Operating Systems

Budget oversight and experience working with MARS/Buyspeed, and other ERP financials helpful. Direct supervision over supervisory, professional, technical and clerical team members required including training, motivating and evaluating. Provide effective oral, written and visual presentations.
MISC. REQUIREMENTS: This is a heavy public contact position. Office environment; travel may be required to and from work sites, businesses and other locations.
This position will change in April 2016 due to the ERPII Project.
