KIXEYE is seeking a System Administrator to be responsible for the selection, management and upgrading hardware and software platforms and implementing best practices for security, risk management, and business continuity and disaster recovery of thesesystems. He/she will manage the day-to-day ITenvironment from the system to network. We are looking for someone that can wear many hats and has broad technology foundations from networking to web servers to web applications.

The System Administrator will manage theIT infrastructure via service providers, vendor support personnel, and application developers and ensure all third-party applications are well integrated intothe network, hardware and software environments. This role will have excellent project management and decision-making a hands-on, technically up-to-date generalist skills that is customized to theinfrastructure andSaaSmodel.

What you get to do every day:
Perform system administration/engineering of network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches and firewall

Day-to-day support of the directory services, Google Apps, & other servers

Design, support, and maintain DHCP, internal/external DNS, Print, and Directory Service

Design and maintain CrashPlan Server

Remote access VPN and site-to-site VPN with hosted solutions using SonicWall

Manage the design, deployment, maintenance and administration of servers, hardware and software. Support of storage configuration and optimization

Identify, research, and resolve technical problems with backend and front-end platforms

Create and maintain a backup strategy and disaster recovery plan for company’s infrastructure

Manage SaaSsolutions across the organization such as Google Apps, Crashplan, etc

Plan and implement future office backend and front-end system requirements and support policies

Provide project and assist with budget plans for all areas of infrastructure planning, implementation and support

Maintain file system data integrity and monitor system configurations to ensure data reliability and availability

Proactively maintain application, system, and network security that follows industry’s best security practice

Proactive monitoring of serversystemsusing OpsView

Assist in troubleshooting networking issues with Cisco routers, switches, and SonicWall firewall

Assist in troubleshooting WAN/LAN connectivity

This position will require 24X7 on call support of theITInfrastructure

This position will require the individual to be open to flexible work hours since many of the projects are done after hours

What you bring to the role:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer information system, businesssystemsor the equivalent

Minimum of 8 years of managing small to medium sizeIToperations including network, hardware, software, desktop

Proven track record of delivering simultaneousITprojects on time and managing critical path issues

Experience supporting custom and vendor applications

Able to produce business requirements and functional specifications

Experience with project management methodologies

Familiarity with software development methodologies

Understands complexities of mixed Apple/PC environment

In depth knowledge of:
Admin skills in OS X Server, LDAP, Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

Proficient in general networking principles: routing, QoS, TCP/IP, VPN, DNS.

Familiarity with Cloud computing, Google Apps and, otherSaaS solutions.

VOIP and Video Teleconferencing technologies.

Business continuity and disaster recovery best practices.

Familiar with Agile development methodology

Preferred Skills

Experience with Project Management best practices, developing, documenting, and managing project plan

Ability to evaluate vendors and technologies, and create/present comparison matrices of solutions

Ability to develop clear documentation of business requirements and functional specifications

Proficient in developing and documentingITpolicies and procedures

Able to leverage a small team through outside consulting assistance and high comfort-level managing these resources remotely

Solid negotiating and budgeting skills

Aptitude describing technical issues in both non-technical and technical language, depending on the audience

Strong analytic and problem solving skills

Ability to concisely articulate decision path and associated risk both in writing and verbally
