Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be clearable to the Top Secret level.
This candidate will be a leading member of the Information Assurance Governance team. This team is responsible for: evaluating, improving and developing information security related processes and policy, and identifying policy gaps and related impacts for the customer. Additionally, this team plays a key role in evaluating new technology for potential security vulnerabilities and assists in ensuring secure communication paths between the customer and other agencies and organizations as well as providing risk-based recommendations to the customer. Finally, this team member will assist in developing a Pre-Implementation Security Testing capability and building out the requirements and process piece to it and how it fits into the overall risk management framework. This effort will include engineering and architectural specifications for the test enclave, configuration of existing and new security test tools, and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for use post turnover. The successful candidate will be in a position of leadership on a number of other high-visibility projects and responsible for deliverables impacting the agency as a whole. A writing sample and a technical screen will be required.
The successful candidate will possess a B.A. or B.S. and have at least two years in the information security field, with a concentration in Network or Application Security in the Federal Environment. B.A. or B.S. may be substituted with 4 additional years of professional Information Assurance services experience. Must possess extensive hands-on experience with Network or Application Security Engineering in accordance with NIST standards. CISSP Preferred. At least 2 years security consulting experience required; specifically evaluating, improving and developing security processes, policies, and new technology. Time will be split between the Reston, VA office and customer location in Washington, DC.
