UHA is seeking an IT Security Manager to join our team. The IT Security Manager develops and directs the overall operational security processes, procedures, guidelines and standards within IT. The position oversees day-to-day security IT operations from the strategic IT perspective, including: defining operational security procedures necessary to support outcomes; monitoring operational supplier security activities in terms of strategic outcomes; auditing technical implementation of systems and devices in line with security standards and designs; escalating issues to supplier governance as needed. The IT Security Manager is responsible for the interaction and relationship between the IT strategic activities and security service providers. The responsibilities include the facilitation, communication, managing the integration/ implementation of security projects/requests and tracking/measuring results of the Service Providers with respect to security roadmaps, security plans, security vendor selections, and security-related project task execution.

Desired Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a work related field/discipline from an accredited college or university

    • Five (5) years' experience of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

    • 40% travel within the Bay Area required to access, audit and oversee security activities within the UHA organization

    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

    • Ability to demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, exhibit strong process improvement orientation, be an effective decision maker and have the ability to achieve results through other programs and individuals

    • Ability to manage and lead long and short-range IT technology projects; ability to manage contracts and vendor service agreements

    • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area

    • Knowledge of global IT outsourcing

    • Knowledge of IT contracting, negotiating, organization development/change management, strategic planning, action planning for successful performance

    • Knowledge of leadership and staff development practices and principles, coaching, talent management strategies and programs

    • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility

    • Knowledge of workforce planning principles and processes
