Responsible for assisting in administering user access to network and information systems throughout Universal American (UAM), its subsidiaries, and its third-party delegated entities and business associates. Responsible for administering building and parking access process and for operating electronic tools to monitor physical security at all Universal American (UA) locations, including photo identification badge and card access systems, closed circuit television (CCTV) systems and monitoring, and other systems identified as being critical to secure the physical assets of UA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in enabling and monitoring access on key systems and applications, including creation, deletion and modification of accounts.

Ensures that Company and IT policies and procedures are followed to grant appropriate access levels.

Assists in the development of automated procedures to manage access in accordance with set policies.

Develops awareness and familiarity with issues and events affecting user access at all UAM locations and key management.

Provides problem determination and resolution for access issues on supported applications and systems.

Provides guidance to internal (UAM) and external (third-party delegated entities and business associate) customers regarding requests for access.

Identifies opportunities that can improve the efficiency of the logical security access processes across applications.

Processes requests for building access and parking access

Coordinates with property management company to ensure requests for after hours building access are processed in a timely manner.

Coordinates with parking management company to ensure only authorized UAM staff (including contractors) have access to designated parking areas.

Provide reports in support of building and parking access as directed.

Assists in operating and maintaining single-database / integrated photo identification badge access system used in all Company-owned locations.

Operates and maintains digital closed circuit television (CCTV) systems used in all Company-owned locations, including storage / retention and retrieval of images.

Recommends IT-related remediation and process improvements resulting from the performance of external audit activities relating to monitoring and problem management.

Monitors all physical access systems to ensure compliance and provides detailed reports of violations in a timely manner to the Director of IT Security and other appropriate organizational entities.

Coordinates distribution and implementation of materials required for visitor temporary badge systems/processes and sign in logs at all Company-owned locations.

Assists in coordinating with internal and external business users and clients to ensure IT Facilities Security meets the needs of all business locations throughout the Company.

Travel up to 25%

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Knowledge and Skills

Strong knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge and experience with electronic IT Facilities Security access vendors and systems.

Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley IT general controls (ITGCs) relating to logical security access.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex architectural drawings and blueprint plans associated with IT facilities security systems.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, clients, and customers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define complex problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma (G.E.D) is required; Associate degree (A. A.) from a four-year college, university, or an accredited community college is preferred.

3-5 years’ experience in a helpdesk and/or administrative role with portions of job responsibilities related to network or server user access assistance.

Experience coordinating support from outside agencies

Knowledge of access methods to include least-privilege and role based access controls.

Familiarity with physical security practices
