I.T. Senior Associates perform highly complex professional work in technology-related disciplines. While areas of specialization vary, typically I.T. Senior Associates perform a range of work in development/programming, communications, technical support, or similar functions depending on the needs of the Information Technology area to which they report. Work tasks include diagnosing, evaluating, overseeing and resolving highly complex projects. They have wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment and may serve in lead roles on complex programs or projects, and/or serve as a direct supervisor of a unit or group.
I.T. Senior Associates should demonstrate mastery of one or more technology-related disciplines, decision-making ability in situations related to those disciplines, and be able to serve as a resource in these areas. They may contribute to decisions on I.T. policies and technical standards.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
This position has hands-on responsibility for managing team responsible for VDI, Server Virtualization, Email, Backup, SharePoint and more.
Identify and troubleshoot server performance issues using native Windows Server tools and utilities.
Take ownership of customer issues to include: routing, prioritization, troubleshooting to resolution.
Monitor and resolve service requests in accordance with published SLAs.
Provide server management with an emphasis on Dell & Cisco Blade servers.
Maintain and troubleshoot FTP, HTTP, SSL, and SMTP mail flow.
Validate monitoring alerts, create support tickets as required and execute predefined troubleshooting instructions.
Create Active Directory users, OU groups, and understand how to apply NTFS and share level permissions.
Establish and enforce best practices for Windows Server management, configuration changes, monitoring, patch management and security.
Provide Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 network support for a complex enterprise.
Oversee staff scheduling, projects, performance and training.
Responsible for short term and long term capacity needs.
Establish and manage a budget for support, maintenance and hardware lifecycle refresh.
