As an Information Technology Specialist, Systems Analysis, you will:

Translate IRS business rules and processes into requirements;

Perform assessments of new systems design methodologies to improve software quality, accurately represent customer requirements, effectively measure software development risk, present recommendations for adoption of new methodologies, and lead the implementation of the improvement project;

Perform review of the impact of new systems design policies on the systems design process, including recommending the most beneficial implementation approaches, and leading the implementation activities.

BASIC QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: You must meet one or more of the following basic requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 13 that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated through assignments that required the ability to analyze a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design. This would include defining what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project. In addition, your experience must demonstrate the ability to develop standards and criteria for assessing server performance, as well as the ability to oversee their application by administrators throughout the enterprise LAN. At this level your experience should demonstrate the knowledge of interrelationships of multiple IT specialties, enterprise-level network infrastructure, management software systems, new IT applications, security concepts, standards, and methods, as well as project management experience, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating accomplishments. You must also demonstrate a mastery of modeling techniques, and the capacity of management principles, concepts and tools.

In addition, you must have experience with software Configuration Management demonstrated by establishing CM procedures and managing change management documents and processes across multiple releases and promotion environments. Must have experience with CCB/TRB protocol to include leading Configuration Management working groups across multiple projects and organizations is required.
