Raytheon is currently seeking an
Information Systems Technician
with 6-8 years experience to support the Silver Eagle program, an enterprise Information Technology O&M program located in Chantilly, VA.
Information Systems Technician will perform a wide variety of tasks with respect to installing, verifying, and testing the installation of Desktop Computers, Printers, LAN and WAN hardware (routers and switches) along with network circuits.
Will utilize various customer computer resources and test equipment including, but not limited to, PCs, Bit error test sets, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other network programming / monitoring devices during the daily execution of work.
Could be asked to install fiber optic and copper infrastructures; program LAN / WAN channels and trunks; verify, assist in verifying that installations are compliant with requirement performance specifications; and update and maintain configuration databases.
Basic Qualifications - Required Skills, Experience:
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Must have a minimum of 4 years related IT Support and Local Area Networking experience
Minimum 4 years experience with PC installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software issues
Minimum 2 years experience with routers and switches
Must have experience using MS Office suite
Must be DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified within 6 months of start date if not already certified
Must have current and active TS/SCI security clearance
Minimum Degree / Major:
High School diploma or equivalent
