IT Systems Engineers support large Homeland Security transformation and information technology programs in meeting their mission objectives and program goals.
Familiarity with existing systems and solutions within the federal government departments and agencies
Experience leading the development or implementation of information sharing systems, preferably for federal, state, or local governments
Experience conducting technical exchange and governance meetings for developing, issuing, and monitoring the implementation of systems and/or architectures
Analytical capabilities and discipline to identify and resolve complex issues and develop innovative solutions for supporting mission business processes and requirements
Demonstrated experience communicating and working with Executive Level decision makers.
Ability to write position papers, prepare briefings, and record minutes for executive level interagency meetings
Able to develop project plans, define project goals, objectives, and tasks to achieve on-time deliveries of customer products
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to translate complicated technical issues for a non-technical audience
Strong familiarity with shared services- providing IT capabilities across a Federation of Departments and Agencies Enabling Information Sharing for whole-of-government IT discovery retrieval, access and reuse
Direct experience in supporting a Government project
Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred, with 8-15 years of technical experience integrating systems, or related capabilities
US Citizenship and TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required
Additional Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with agency Enterprise Registry and Repositories and/or similar products
Demonstrated experience working with information exchange standards
