Job Description:
Join the Chubb Claim IT department to assist in the continuing development of the Claim Workstation, built upon Microsoft thin-client architecture. This is a mission critical application that supports claim adjusters and other claim professionals in Chubb's Claims Department, world-renowned for outstanding customer service. In this role you will be part of a team responsible for production support of all server components of the application, as well as the analysis, design, construction, and test of major new deliverables. Included in the job are the opportunities to:

Candidate responsibilities include all aspects of supporting a Claim business application, including:
•Designing and developing solutions using VB.NET, HTML, ASPX, XML, JSON, Javascript, Ajax, Web Controls, CSS
•Leading / implementing assignments independently as a hands-on expert, providing technical and business expertise on the use of data
•Gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements
•Inspecting business requirements and recommending solutions to meet functional requirements to support business needs
•Delivering test plans and testing the Claims workstation applications
•Working with business partners and technical architects to develop strategic and cost-effective solutions to meet business needs
•Ensuring programs meet standards and technical specifications
•Troubleshooting and supporting production processes to meet daily SLA's
•Partnering with Project Manager to ensure timely and accurate communication of progress/status/issues
•Conducting code reviews

Technical Skills / Experience:
•5+ years web-based development experience; strong user interface design/development skills a must
•Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
•Experience with IBM Jazz (or other version control system)
•Object Oriented Design concepts and automated unit testing are a plus

•Strong coaching/mentoring skills
•Insurance industry and Claims experience a strong plus
