San Francisco CA 6 Months Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The ITSM Program Manager will be responsible for rolling out the initial ITSM foundation release on onboarding activities for all of CLIENT’S IT team The scope of the program involves 6 different tracks before onboarding begins Tracks are Service Catalog Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Enterprise Reporting Documentation The ITSM Program Manager will help build each work stream’s team including project management and associated resources They will oversee the alignment of all work streams for successful completion to lead up to the onboarding process which they will also oversee The Program Manager will help prepare resource plans and obtain vendor proposals when called for They will manage the associated budget for the program The Program Manager will report to the ITSM Senior Manager for the duration of the program RESPONSIBILITIES Gathering defining and documenting project requirements Clearly defining and communicating roles responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team Understand deliverables and success criteria Make sure they are accounted for in project plan Obtaining and defining staffing requirements and forming project teams Independently planning all associated work to meet project goals Providing direction and leadership to project managers and respective teams Developing metrics procedures objectives and methods to assess project progress while utilizing established standards and quality objectives Conducting project kickoff meetings Hold daily and weekly status meetings Provide leadership updates Communicating individual project roles and expectations Ensuring all project team members have the tools and training necessary to perform effectively Recording tracking and communicating issues risks changes and status reports within CLIENT’S standard tool Accurately and consistently forecasting project resource material and contract costs within a standard client tool(s) Mentoring PMs to develop and maintain uptodate detailed project schedules and work plans Monitoring critical project milestones and identifying ways to resolve schedule issues Coordinating any required contract work within defined CLIENT policy Assessing project performance and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the projects remains within specified cost schedule scope and quality objectives Communicating status of all projects to stakeholders and management Developing and maintaining a productive working relationship with project sponsors vendors and key clients QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications Required Expert knowledge of subject area project management procedures and techniques Ability to use and define technical details of defined work Ability to manage budget for multiple work streams Experience with SDLC and also process improvement programs Demonstrated ability to work with leadership in presenting data metric analysis Solid communication skills and ability to connect with leaders at various levels Diverse business acumen Strong technical skills System wide vision superior risk management skills political acumen formal presentations Demonstrates a leadership role in providing clear vision goals and expectations Looks for process improvement opportunities to reduce duplication of effort improve work quality and boost morale Workforce planning and resource management skills Ability to function and manage in a matrixed environment Desired Qualifications ITIL background Previous experience with BMC Remedy ITSM suite ITSM PROGRAM MANAGER
