Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of ITSM Process Advisor located in Houston, TX through July 17, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Owning and improving the ITSM process and tool core design
  • Communicating ITSM vision and providing customer consultation on global processes
  • Monitoring the global use of ITSM processes and tool suite, support standardization and optimization
  • Supporting the needs of ITSM Operations by working with customers and external benchmarks to identify best practices that can help with more efficient implementation
  • Leads and participates in process improvement efforts to achieve optimization in both local and end-to-end processes.
  • Identify and apply lessons learned and best practices internally and externally
  • Regularly monitor process and tool performance against the business plan metrics, targets, and goals.
  • Analyze metrics, identify need for process improvements
  • Understands ITIL Methodology and applies best practices
  • Has a strong understanding of ITSM business processes and associated functionality within the ITSM tool suite.

    IT Service Management Process Advisor (specific job desc)
  • Owns guiding principles and Core Design for ITSM Processes, manages exceptions, additions and changes.
  • Governs ITSM Process Design
  • Champions IT Function process in users groups , providing expertise & industry best practices
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on deployed IT Function process, how they are supported by the tool suite and best practices for implementation
  • Provides the process and tool set to enable customers
  • Owns and manages content of process and training tool updates
  • Manages IT Function wide metrics and dashboards for ITSM Processes, identifies and acts on improvement opportunities for customers as show in dashboard analysis
  • Assist in the Development of roadmap and shaping curve by process for leadership endorsement
  • Works to standardize processes and minimize process variation across regions and divisions to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Champion ITIL best practices and provide consulting
  • Consults with new and existing customers on process optimization
  • Consults with solution and enterprise architect for modifications to process work flow and ITSM systems
  • Ensures alignment of existing and future processes with ITSM and IT Information Library

    Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Remedy 7.6+ demonstrated skills or related experience
  • Understands ITIL Methodology and applies best practices
  • Identifies root causes of problems
  • Develops workable solutions
  • Ability to understand how to apply analytical tools/models to the appropriate situation
  • Articulates a clear and compelling mission and vision that motivates others.
  • Demonstrates The Chevron Way values and principles through behaviors, actions and decisions.
  • Demonstrates successes through collaboration with business partners, stakeholders, team members and suppliers.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across the enterprise.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Technology or related Business field
