facilitate infusion growth through the provision of IV education programs, support and pharmacy coordination.

Key Responsibilities: · Identify opportunities within the LTC customer base to promote acceptance of infusion admissions.
· Meet with customers to present Omnicare Infusion Services and promote utilization of support tools and programs.
· Assists facility nurses in plan of care for residents, related to IV therapy.
· Perform insertion of peripheral, midline, and PICC catheters and other nursing interventions as required and permissible by local regulations.
· Provide education through in-services to facility staff on various types of IV therapy, pumps and equipment.
· Conduct Continuing Education (CE) programs for facility nursing staff.
· Develop and prepare material and in-service education for facility staff
· Conduct Medication Pass reviews
· Solicit and consult with facility’s Director of Nursing (DON) and staff concerning nursing services
· Assist DON and staff with troubleshooting and correcting problem areas and/or improving services.
· Conduct mock surveys as requested and scheduled via the pharmacy to ensure compliance with the Department of Health surveys Provide customer support services for all infusion therapies provided to client facilities.
· Participate in other infusion related opportunities, programs, and projects in conjunction with the corporate infusion leadership.
· Attend national infusion nurse’s monthly conference calls.
· Coordinate infusion nursing clinical services.
· Participate in initial and ongoing in-service education programs. Obtain CEU’s as required to maintain current license.
· Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level) · Registered Nurse with unencumbered license in states serviced by hiring pharmacy.
· Must have at least five (5) years of recent nursing experience that includes, but is not limited to direct patient care, physical assessment, patient education, group inservicing, and a minimum of three years experience directly in infusion therapy nursing
· Certification in Midline/PICC insertion Preferred but not required.
· Certification in IV Therapy (CRNI) Preferred but not required.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong problem solving skills.
· Valid motor vehicle license and current CPR certification.
This position is 100% same day travel and some overnight to facilities within the service area between Wadsworth, OH and Livonia, MI, mileage is reimbursed.

Physical Demands: May sit, stand, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

Work Environment: Work in a climate-controlled, smoke-free internal environment. Includes travel.
