The Identity and Access Manager (IAM) will set the strategic direction for the effective management of BCBST’s information security identity and access control functions. This position is responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of security access control functions. The IAM Manager develops and implements both tactical and strategic processes supporting access provisioning, identity management, third party access (including federation), security administration, access reviews, role management, and access reporting. S/he must stay abreast of frequently occurring technology changes to provide accurate direction that will increase user productivity and further BCBST’s objectives. S/he must also be able to solve complex technical problems. In addition, the IAM Manager will work with other I/S departments, BCBST business units, and management to analyze their computing needs and develop solutions to address these needs.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Direct the Identity and Access Management team, including hiring, assignment of work, performance evaluations, and employee coaching and development.
Provide leadership and coordination in the strategic and tactical planning, design, implementation and support of department services. Develop and coordinate project directions and schedules.
Oversee Identity and Access Management team expenditures while balancing the demands of financial, technological and political considerations in all decision-making processes.
Coordinate initiatives to assess network attached systems for compliance with BCBST policies and standards.
Build and maintain harmonious working relationships with personnel throughout BCBST.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent years of experience is required. Equivalent years of experience are determined as one year of technical experience for every year of college requested.
Five years experience managing teams of technical resources in diverse disciplines is required.
Incumbent must have working knowledge and experience managing account provisioning, identity management, directory services, and access control technologies.
CISM or CISSP certification is required; CISSP is preferred.
The ability to encourage and promote cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility is critical.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions in a changing environment are required.
Outstanding organizational skills are required with the ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities. Must have demonstrated success in leading large projects or multiple concurrent medium to large projects.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to communicate technical concepts in individual, group and large audience settings.
