Responsible for inflight operation of BAMS-D UAS sensor systems, to include the construction of target decks, mission planning, dynamic re-tasking, collection of imagery and maintaining data logs. Must be knowledgeable in image processing; and /or in the integration and operation of computer systems and peripheral equipment. Analyzes aerial imagery processed by BAMS-D UAS sensor systems, and plans and recommends the use of all Global Hawk aerial sensor systems for surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Monitors/operates the Integrated Sensor System. Periodically checks setup parameters of sensors systems. Responds to ad hoc and re-tasking as required by mission. Coordinates directly with pilot during tactical imaging portions of flight; provides assistance to pilot in performing communications duties. Coordinates with external users as required. Maintains data logs collected during mission, archives the data logs post mission, and disseminates to external users post mission. Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization.
6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters. Experience with a military background as a sensor operator/imagery analyst, or civilian equivalent. Strong avionics and computer background preferred. Secret Level Security Clearance required. FAA Class III Flight Physical required. In lieu of formal education, 10 years relevant experience will be considered.
Military Aircrew or Sensor Operator Experience, UAV Mission Payload, or Sensor Experience.
